How does "Print-It-Yourself" (PIY) work?

Are you a little lost? Not sure how Print It Yourself Invitations works? No worries! Below is a brief run through of the ‘how’, but if you have any other questions please do not hesitate to contact us and ask.

In the most simple terms: We personalise your invitation design & you print it out!

STEP ONE:
Browse our design catalogues and find an invitation to suit you and your event*. Our designer will personalise each design for YOUR event to include your photograph(s), name, age and event details. You can also request ‘special guest information’ or colours changes to be included at no extra cost. All you have to do is let us know how to tailor the design to your needs when you place your order!

STEP TWO:
Add your chosen design(s) to your cart. Make sure you fill in all the required fields otherwise we will not be able to personalise your design! Once your order has been received, we will be in touch with your proof within 24hrs, but usually on the same day.

STEP THREE:
Review your proof. You will be sent a proof of your personalised invitation design via email within 24hrs of your order being received. Check over all the details and layout and let us know what changes you need made by reply email or giving us a call. We are happy to do up to three (3) rounds of editing to get your invitation just right for your event at no extra cost. Additional or ‘unreasonable’ changes may incur additional costs, but you will be advised in advance if this is the case.

STEP FOUR:
Your electronic design will be sent to you as soon as your cleared payment is received in our account. All of our PIY invitations are sent via email as high resolution .jpg and .pdf files* in ready to print format. Once you receive your invitations, you have to choice to print them at home, as a photo at your local digital photo printing retailer (such as K-mart, Big W or Harvey Norman) or taking them to your local Officeworks store or print shop. We will send you information about each file type so that you get the best quality print possible and are always available to help if you need assistance. You will always have your design on hand for extra prints, last minute emails or scrap booking at a later date.
*If you would like to email your invitations instead of printing, let us know and we will send you a file perfect for this use!

What if I don't want to print my invitations?

If you don’t have access to a printer or simply don’t have time to print your own invitations don’t stress, we can print them for you! 4x6” & 5x7" invitations start at $1.20ea & $1.95ea (depending on the qty you order). Delivery and printing options are available in the product listings. Your printed invitations will be printed as soon as your payment is received, and posted within 2 business days. We package our invitations carefully in plastic and heavy card to ensure they reach you in pristine condition.*
(*Please note that we cannot be held responsible for damage to your order incurred during transit. We package our products carefully to minimise the potential damage of water/rough handling, but ultimately cannot protect against any negligence by Australia Post staff nor damage incurred by sorting machines. Postage insurance is offered by Australia Post and can be purchased at the customers expense as an optional extra if you wish.)

All that’s left to do is send your invitations to your guests. Whether printed or sent via email, we guarantee they will be impressed and excited to get to your event!

Shipments

Packages are generally dispatched within 2 days after receipt of payment and are shipped via your selected Australia Post service. Express Post has the added benefit of tracking and drop-off without signature. Arrival times are dependent on your delivery location and the method of postage selected. Deliveries to regional areas may take longer to reach you.

Postage costs include packing fees as well as postage costs. Packing fees are fixed, whereas transport fees vary according to total weight of the shipment. We advise you to group your items in one order. We cannot group two distinct orders placed separately, and shipping fees will apply to each of them. Your package will be dispatched at your own risk, but as outlined above, special care is taken to protect fragile objects.

Refunds Policy

Refunds of digital goods ARE NOT GIVEN. Your  written (via email) approval of your electronic design proof is FINAL and only once this is received, will your digital design be sent to you in ready to print format. It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure their design is 100% correct prior to delivery. Any changes required to a design, after final approval has been given by the customer, will incur additional design fees.

Refunds of printed goods ARE NOT GIVEN where your written (via email) approval is given of your electronic design proof. Your approval is FINAL and only once this is received, will your design be sent to the printer. Once print production of your design has commenced, no further changes can be made. Any changes to the design will be at the cost of the customer. It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure their design is 100% correct prior to their approval being given.

Due to the file types that we use, compatibility issues with computers, printers and other software are extremely rare, and will be dealt with on a case-by-case trouble shooting basis. We will work with you to ensure that your design prints easily for you if you do happen to encounter any issues.

Refunds will not be given for damage incurred to packages and/or products during delivery.

If the product is delivered (electronically or in hard copy) with errors/file faults/flaws/unauthorised changes that are deemed to be that of the designers, that occur AFTER final approval has been given by the customer, then they will be rectified by the designer and a new file/printed product will be sent at no additional cost to the customer.

Due to the individual screen colour/brightness calibration settings on your PC/Phone/Tablet/iPad/iPhone, there may be colour differences between your on screen preview of your design and final printed design. This is normal and unfortunately unavoidable and as such Print It Yourself Invitations & Design cannot be help responsible for these variations.  Refunds are not able to be given due to colour variations between on screen and printed designs. All digital invitations are created using the RGB colour model which is suitable for printing at home, on digital copy machines and digital photo printing machines. If you require files that are suitable for commercial printing (CMYK colour model) please ask when placing your order
